Boarding School Master Plan

A Campus Master Plan and dormitory design for NAWA Academy, a 550 acre campus in Northern California. Just north of French Gulch, the stunningly beautiful site is composed of two meadows embraced by a ring of steep forested hills with Clear Creek running through the center of the site.

Components of the Master Plan include a student center, cafeteria, classrooms and labs, housing for 150 students, an arts center, an athletic and gymnasium complex, an equestrian area, an outdoor assembly space, and an administrative center.

Initial efforts of the Master Plan included

  • Community Survey Campus Assessment
  • Case Study of Islandwood, an environmental school in the Pacific Northwest
  • OPA's Preliminary Recommendations for developing NAWA's future campus

Architectural realization of the complete Master Pan is expected to occur over the next ten years.
